Our Process
At OK-LAS, each stage of production is carefully planned and managed to ensure reliable and consistent results.
Our process brings together engineering experience, technical precision, and strict quality standards to produce rubber-metal components that perform effectively in demanding applications.
From mold design to final inspection, every step is carried out in-house under controlled conditions to maintain quality and efficiency.
Design and Production of Mold
Our in-house tool design and manufacturing department develops molds with high precision using CAD/CAM technologies. Each mold is tailored to meet the specific geometry, tolerance, and performance needs of the final product — ensuring consistency and efficiency throughout the production process.
Laboratory
Our laboratory is equipped to test and analyze rubber compounds and bonded components under various conditions. We conduct physical, mechanical, and environmental testing to verify performance and compliance with customer and industry standards.
Compounding (Mixing)
At the compounding stage, raw materials are mixed to create custom rubber compounds. Each formulation is designed to achieve specific properties such as elasticity, temperature resistance, and vibration absorption, depending on the product’s intended application.
Metal Production
Metal inserts are manufactured in-house to maintain full control over material quality and precision. This approach ensures compatibility between the metal and rubber elements used in bonding. Metal components are shaped through processes such as cutting, bending, and forming. Accurate forming ensures dimensional stability and proper fit during assembly and vulcanization.
Sandblasting (Metal Treatment)
Before bonding, metal surfaces undergo a sandblasting process to remove impurities and create a clean, roughened surface for optimal adhesion. This surface treatment plays a key role in achieving strong and durable rubber-to-metal bonds.
Bonding Application
A specialized bonding agent is applied to the treated metal surface. This stage forms the essential link between the metal insert and the rubber compound, ensuring reliable adhesion even under high mechanical and thermal stress.
Vulcanization
The prepared components are placed in precision molds and subjected to the vulcanization process, where heat and pressure transform the raw rubber into a resilient, durable elastomer. This step gives the product its final shape, strength, and elasticity.
Quality Control
All components undergo inspection to verify dimensions, bonding integrity, and material consistency. Each product leaving our facility complies with OK-LAS quality standards and international requirements.
